The Change in Mexican Real Estate Laws allows foreigners to own properties along the 6,000 miles of coastline and pristine sandy beaches. Puerto Vallarta Real Estate is particularly attractive to American baby boomers for all reasons above and especially for its temperate climate and attractive property prices.

Before 1993 Mexican law prevented any ownership by foreigners of real estate properties located within 32 miles (50km) from the oceans or 62 miles (100km) from International borders. But Mexico changed this law in 1993 and allowed the ownership of real estate properties by foreigners .
