As you well know there are literally thousands of well deserving organizations dedicated to helping those in need.

You may be one of them.

You should begin your intentions for a successful event with a general outline for starting a golf charity tournament

Form The Committee
Your committee should decide on a focus or goal for the tournament. Will it be a special reward incentive for employees? Will it be entertainment for those special clients? etc. Know your goal or intent then establish a budget and a timeline. You want to be able to serve those beverages and food and anything else which may be donated by additional sponsors. And be sure that whatever they are willing or not willing to do is an advantage rather than a disadvantage to your successful event.

Get Sponsors
Don't go after the big sponsor to pay for it all. Divide the costs of everything up, so that you have multiple sponsors who will also help you with your list of participants by alerting their own corporate officers and employees of your very special tournament in Puerto Vallarta. You will not have to do any cold calling to end up with a large list of players.
