All You Need to Know
About
Gringo's
Professional Experts
OUR
NAME: The word
“gringo” comes from old Spanish and is a derivative from the word
“el Greco” (a Greek) but meant to indicate a stranger, a foreigner.
Apparently, the first foreigners the Spaniards came in contact were
Greeks and thus the world “gringo” from “el Greco” evolved. Today,
it is used predominantly by Mexicans to identify North Americans
(U.S. citizens in particular). ASK GRINGO REALTORS has been created
and selected by
Steve
Alexis. It has been tested with consumer focus groups and proven
to be a highly acceptable and top-of-mind branding that is likeable,
easy to remember and plain cute. Many people when introduced to the
name for the first time, crack a smile and compliment us on
originality. Once the name is spoken or seen, people simply don’t
forget it.

OUR DESIGN: Papa
Gringo’s caricature highlighting a snowy-haired “gringo” with a
bright smile is part of the Company’s logo. The logic behind this
idea is to identify with the graying population of the millions of
baby
boomers who are AGR’s prime customers. The logo also depicts a
red and green background, reflecting traditional Mexican colors on
the Mexican flag. People, particularly Mexicans, catch on to this
identity immediately. Seeing it as a friendly and respectful
gesture, they immediate signal their “stamp of approval.”

OUR CULTURE: We have developed an entire new culture and
approach to the business. Ask Gringo Realtor's CEO is Steve
Alexis. However, his official title is “Papa Gringo.” The office
staff and sales associates are called “(Gringo’s) Cousins,”
while management is either “Uncle”
(for male) or “Tia”
(Spanish for aunt-for female managers). For example, a sales
associate with his real name of Jose Sanchez, who also has a
nickname “Zipo,” will have his title and business cards printed as:
Gringo’s Cousin “Zipo”
Jose Sanchez, Sales Associate
This same family-style title appears on each staff person’s or
associate’s company email, and they are addressed as cousins, uncles
etc. The whole idea and logic behind this concept is to create a
sense of family
warmth and a relationship that will transcend to our customers.
At the same time, it is easy for employees as well as customers to
identify the exact hierarchy of our corporate seniority.

OUR ETHICS: Ask Gringo Realtors is guided by strict ethical
rules and standards and will not compromise by lowering those rules
and standards. Our rules and standards are actually even stronger
and higher than the most stringent in the U.S. We recognize all of
the dangers and pitfalls an unfamiliar customer can encounter and
thus our goal is first and foremost to protect the interests of our
buyers. This is the cornerstone of our corporate policy. Ask Gringo
Realtors will make all disclosures, and we will warn our buyers of
possible and known dangers or shortcomings relative to their
purchase of property. We treat our partners, other brokers and sales
associates with the highest respect. Our employees are and will
always be our biggest asset and our biggest concern. We don’t get
involved in any money disputes, and we pride ourselves for
respecting the laws, ethics and standards of the industry and of the

Ask Gringo Realtors BELIEFS
We also firmly believe that each corporation should do something for
the
local community, for the environment and charities. Thus, Ask
Gringo Realtors will participate in select not-for-profit activities
and by so doing will give back to the communities in which we
operate. Our plan calls for educating local citizens on the
protection of their environment, particularly the
beaches.
We will engage local organizations, schools and businesses and
organize among other things, massive beach clean-ups several times a
year. We will sponsor various seminars and bring experts in to talk
to local citizens about environmental issues and the importance of
protecting ecological treasures. We will promote recycling among
young people, as well as among adults. We will also assist local
communities in making public places handicap-accessible, for this is
an area in which Mexico in general is lagging behind. Ask Gringo
Realtors will
support
some other noble causes locally that improve the quality of life
in Mexico. We will also support other
organizations that we deem worthy, and we will be a leader in
this respect. We believe that community involvement ultimately leads
to better business. top

SPECIAL BENEFIT
TO OUR CUSTOMERS The fact is that most of buyers of
new residential properties in Mexico are foreigners who are
buying a second home. Typically, they plan to use this property for
their personal purposes, but they also may wish to rent it out to
derive some extra income. It is nothing unusual that properly
marketed rentals can not only offset the
mortgage payment for the property, but also can yield
significant extra income and profit. A typical 2-3 bedroom condo on
the beach that can cost around $300,000 can derive an annual net
income of about $50,000. These figures are very attractive to many
potential buyers, and Ask Gringo Realtors has understood this need
from the beginning. For this purpose, we have formed a separate
company,
Gringo’s
Palapa that specializes in rentals. The rental services,
management and marketing of rentals are offered to Ask Gringo
Realtors customers at greatly discounted rates.
